Please send an email to bettermfa[at]cuispa.org to start the process.

► How much does it cost?

The membership fee is kept low in order to encourage the formation of a meaningful and valuable community to advance MFA.

  • free! if you are a member of CUISPA ($595/year, open to all credit unions)
  • free! if you are a bank or credit union with less than $200M in assets

► What about services and product assistance?

Since source code is available for BetterMFA, you have the ability to make your own improvements and tweaks as necessary. But we realize not everyone wants to go down that path. Professional services are available through Jwaala. Contact bettermfa[at]cuispa.org for more details.

► What about installation?

BetterMFA is designed to be easy to install, maintain, and monitor. As such, BetterMFA is available as a VMWare Server virtual appliance. This means that it is self contained, makigng it a snap to get up and running. There is not some long list of prerequisites before the software will work.

All you need to do is:

  • download the virtual appliance
  • copy it to a machine that has VMWare virtual server
  • turn on the virtual appliance
  • configure a static IP address
  • get/configure an SSL certificate (for something like signin.yourdomain.com)

At this point, BetterMFA is fully functional and ready to go in demo mode. Demo mode means that it is performing MFA front end services as a sample financial institution.
